Who we are

MatchMySolicitor is a referral service that connects people and businesses with specialist employment solicitors in the United Kingdom. We are not a firm of solicitors and we do not provide legal advice. This policy explains what we do with the information you give us, and what your rights are.

MatchMySolicitor is a trading name of Zenithics, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 14973068, with its registered office at 86-90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under registration number ZB613061. We are the data controller for the personal information you give us through this website. You can contact us at info@zenithics.com.

What we collect

When you use the enquiry form we collect your name, email address, telephone number, and the details you choose to give us about your situation, including whether you are an employee or an employer, the type of matter, and any dates or deadlines you tell us about. We also collect basic technical information from your visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, and how you arrived at the site.

Why we use it

We use your enquiry details to identify a suitable solicitor on our panel and to pass your enquiry to that firm so they can contact you. We use your contact details to acknowledge your enquiry and follow up on it. We use technical information to keep the site secure, to understand how it is used, and to measure the performance of our advertising.

Our legal bases

We rely on your consent where you submit an enquiry asking to be matched with a solicitor, and on our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the service. Where your enquiry includes special category information, such as health or details of discrimination, we handle it only so far as necessary to match you with a solicitor, on the basis of your explicit consent given when you submit the form.

Who we share it with

We share your enquiry with one solicitor firm from our panel: the firm we consider best suited to your matter. We do not sell your details and we do not pass them to multiple firms. We also use service providers who process data on our behalf, including our website hosting, analytics, and email delivery providers. Once a firm has your enquiry, that firm becomes responsible for your information as its own data controller and its own privacy policy applies.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for as long as necessary to run and evidence the service, and normally for six years from your last contact with us, which reflects the period in which a related dispute could arise. Technical and analytics records are kept for shorter periods set by the relevant provider.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies using the banner on the site and change your choice at any time through the cookie settings link in the footer. Our cookie policy explains this in more detail.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to ask us to delete it, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before you withdrew it. To exercise any of these rights, email support@matchmysolicitor.co.uk.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
