Terms of Use

About these terms

These terms apply to your use of the MatchMySolicitor website and enquiry service. By using the site or submitting an enquiry you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

MatchMySolicitor is a trading name of Zenithics, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 14973068, with its registered office at 86-90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE.

What we do, and what we do not do

MatchMySolicitor is a matching service. We introduce people and businesses to specialist employment solicitors. We are not a firm of solicitors, we are not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, and nothing on this site is legal advice. Any advice you receive comes from the solicitor you are matched with, under their own terms of business and their own regulatory obligations.

No solicitor and client relationship with us

Submitting an enquiry does not create a solicitor and client relationship, and it does not stop or extend any legal deadline. Employment claims have short time limits, commonly three months less one day, and a respondent normally has 28 days to file a response. It is your responsibility to protect your own deadlines.

Our panel

Every firm on our panel is regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. We select firms for their employment experience and their capacity to take on new matters. We do not guarantee that a firm will accept your matter, quote a particular fee, or achieve a particular outcome.

Information you give us

You agree that the information you give us is accurate and that you are entitled to share it. We pass your enquiry to one panel firm so that they can contact you, as described in our privacy policy.

Fees

Using our enquiry service is free to you. The first conversation with the firm we match you with is free and without obligation. Any fees for legal work are agreed directly between you and that firm before work begins. We may receive a fee from panel firms for introductions.

Site content

The content of this site, including guides and articles, is general information about employment law in England and Wales. It is written to be accurate at the time of publication but law and practice change, and it is not a substitute for advice on your own facts.

Liability

We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss arising from your reliance on general information on this site, from any act or omission of a panel firm, or from any interruption to the site.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page applies to your use of the site.
